LAST NIGHT A HERO
Walking on my own and I saw a Shadow pass me by
It wasn't an ordinary shadow that passed my side
I turned and I saw my favorite hero the batman
Full of excitement I followed, we weren't so far apart
He walked into the crowd and I couldn't believe my eyes
People came to take pictures, he pushed them aside
Things he said to children well it was alarming
Things he did that night as a hero was just shaming
tried to turn my face but couldn't look away, t'was a train wreck
Things he said to people, well it was shameless
I offered to help but he said he was just too broken for saving
Nothing I could say was going to change things
I barely recognized him at all
I tried to close my eyes but I just has to see this all
He stood at the top of a hill and started to take off his bat suits
"I gave my all for love, as I hope and I wished that it was true"
"All my plans and all my time wasted"
"because she said she loved me, now the Love has faded"
"She said she was different from the rest"
"But just like everyone else, she left"
He said to me as he turned around now putting on a classic suit
Still putting on his cape even with the change of suits
He took off his cape, raised it in the air and watched if fall away
Turned to me, smiled, said there's no more batman and walked away
I looked right in the mirror and saw that I was the batman in this story
This was just a reflection of me after being broken
That night i put my childhood in a basket and burned it all inside of me
I burned all the pictures and burnt all the magazines
That night I saw through all the magic
Now I'm the witness to the end of a hero
